Delete my account
Last updated: 14 October 2026
This is an English translation for convenience. In case of any difference, the French version of this page prevails.
You can delete your RunRunFar account at any time, without writing to us and without reinstalling the app. Deletion is immediate and permanent: it is not a pause, and the account cannot be recovered afterwards.
From the app — immediate
On iPhone as on Android: Profile → Account and privacy → Delete my account. You are asked for your password, then for a confirmation. Everything goes at that moment.
Without the app
If you no longer have the app, or would rather not reinstall it, write to contact@runrunfar.com from your account's email address, with your username and the words “account deletion”. That address is how we check the request really comes from you: we will never ask for your password.
We delete the account as soon as we have read the message, and within one month at the latest, as the GDPR requires. You receive a confirmation.
What is deleted
- Your account: first name, last name, username, email address, password, portrait, home town.
- Your runs and the tracks kept to display their map, your steps, your distinctions and all your game data.
- Your messages to the team, your messages in your town's chat room and your private messages.
- Your Strava link, if there was one: access is removed and whatever we kept from Strava is erased.
- Your login tokens, on all your devices.
What remains
Your town remains: its buildings and its total kilometres belong to its community and contain no data about you. The technical logs of our host, OVH, follow its own retention periods and are used only for the security of the service.
Deleting some data without deleting the account
You don't have to lose everything to erase something. You can hide a run's map with one tap, or all your maps at once (Profile → Account and privacy → “Always hide my maps”), unlink Strava from the app, or write to us to have your passages through other towns erased. Your rights are detailed in the privacy policy.
A question
contact@runrunfar.com. And if you believe your rights are not respected, you can lodge a complaint with the CNIL or with the data protection authority of your country.
